Everett received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia in 1976.  In addition to being a licensed CPA, Everett is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV)

Everett has over 48 years of experience in public and private accounting.  He was a staff member of Sherwood H. Creedle, CPA, PC from 1976 to 1977. He then worked for a Fortune 500 company E R Carpenter, Inc. as an accountant in charge of inventory, accounts payable and payroll from 1977 through 1978. In 1979 He joined Sabatini and Russell, CPA where he was made a partner in 1982. In 1985 the firm’s name was changed to Sabatini Winn, PC and in September of 2000 was merged with Witt Mares, PLC. He was a partner in Witt Mares, PLC, as well as Director of the firm’s Accounting Services Division. He started Everett O. Winn CPA, PLC in December 2005   Everett has extensive experience working with clients in the healthcare, construction and hospitality industries.  In addition, he provides a variety of services to owner managed businesses.  He assists clients in accounting, business advisory services, computer consulting, and business valuations.  Additionally, he performs business and individual tax planning and preparation services.  He was listed in Virginia Business as a Super CPA in small business consulting in 2011 and 2012

Everett’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (01091929), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (6081),  North Carolina Board of  CPA's (29478)the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the AICPA ABV.

Everett’s community activities include Founding Member and Past Board Member, Mechanicsville Unit of the American Cancer Society; Assistant District Commissioner for the Dogwood District Heart of Virginia Council, Boy Scouts of America; Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 544 & 542,  Scouting America;  Past Treasurer of the Mechanicsville Ruritan Club and 2005 – 2007 Chairman, Hanover Business Council.
